The transmissions we receive from the collective known as Husna are woven with wisdom, love, and a gentle invitation to remember who we truly are. Again and again, the messages call us toward union, oneness, and recognition of the divine presence that lives within every being. Husna offers practices, meditations, and moments of sacred pause, while encouraging us to walk the path of truth together and share these teachings with others.
In time, Husna gifted a name to those who had gathered around these transmissions: Lubna. At first, the name was unfamiliar to us, carrying no obvious meaning. Yet by then we had learned to "trust the process."
As we explored its origins, we discovered that Lubna is associated with the storax tree, an ancient tree known for its delicate white blossoms and fragrant resin. The name itself evokes beauty, grace, wisdom, and refinement. It felt like a beautiful gift—one that seemed perfectly suited to this emerging community.
Yet, as so often happens, there was a deeper layer waiting to be revealed.
For centuries, the resin of the storax tree has been used in sacred incense and anointing oils. Its fragrance has been treasured in spiritual traditions for purification, blessing, and creating an atmosphere conducive to prayer, contemplation, and communion with the Divine.
Further exploration revealed an ancient biblical connection. In the Book of Exodus, aromatic resins, including storax, were among the sacred ingredients used in the holy incense reserved for worship and consecration. This incense was used to bless and purify the Tent of Meeting—the sacred space where Moses entered into divine communion and received guidance. It was a place of encounter, a sanctuary where heaven and earth seemed to meet.
The name Lubna reminds us of that sacred purpose.
